How to Change Auto-Lock on iPhone XR

There are a number of ways to change the auto-lock time on your iPhone XR. First of all, you can set a time limit. This can be done using the Display & Brightness setting. You can also disable the AssistiveTouch feature.
Time Limit

Time Limit for auto-lock on iPhone XR is an optional feature that lets you set the amount of time that your iPhone stays idle before automatically locking. The default setting is 30 seconds. However, you can change this to a longer or shorter period to suit your needs.

Setting the time limit for auto-lock is easy. Simply tap the setting in the Settings app and then tap the “Time Limit” button. It will set a time limit and prevent unauthorized usage of apps you’ve blocked. You can also choose to use the Passcode feature to lock apps.

Changing the Time Limit for auto-lock on iPhone XR is as easy as changing the screen timeout setting on your iPhone. You can change the default time for your iPhone to five minutes or choose a different time for the screen to turn off. To adjust the screen timeout, launch the Settings app from the Home screen.

Auto-lock on iPhone XR allows you to lock and unlock your phone with a single tap. However, if you don’t have a passcode, you can also activate Guided Access and unlock your iPhone. By adjusting these settings, you can protect your device from accidental theft.
Always On setting

If you find that the auto-lock feature of your iPhone XR is constantly turning off, there are some things you can do to stop it. First of all, you can disable the auto-brightness feature. This feature dims the screen when it becomes too hot, so you should turn it off. If the problem still persists, you should try putting your iPhone in a shady area to let it cool down. Secondly, you can keep your device updated by downloading software updates from Apple. These updates will introduce new features and fixes for common errors and bugs.

Another way to make Auto-Lock work longer is to disable Low Power Mode and enable the Never option. To do so, open the Settings app and navigate to the Display & Brightness menu. Once you’re there, tap the Auto-Lock setting and select the longer time that you’d like the screen to stay on. You can also use Siri to change the time that you want the screen to stay on.

To enable Auto-Lock, go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock. This is located under Display & Brightness. Choose a suitable time duration and click the OK button. If it is enabled by default, the feature will automatically turn on after a specific amount of time. If it doesn’t, you can disable it by checking the Never option.

You may also notice that the auto-lock option is grayed out on your iPhone if you’re in Low Power Mode. Low Power mode is an effective way to conserve battery power. To disable this mode, go to Settings > Battery. After you’ve disabled Low Power Mode, you’ll have to enable the auto-lock option.
Disabling AssistiveTouch

You can disable AssistiveTouch auto-lock by enabling the Accessibility Shortcuts feature. To enable this feature, open the Settings app and go to the Accessibility section. Next, add a shortcut to the home screen. After enabling the feature, you will see a warning when you try to use the shortcut. Press and hold the Side button and one of the volume buttons to enable the shortcut.

This option is useful for users with limited or no hand strength. But, the downside is that it interferes with other functions of the phone. To disable it, you must access the Accessibility menu. If the AssistiveTouch option is enabled, the button will be green. Restarting your phone can also fix minor software issues.

Next, access the Accessibility Shortcuts menu by clicking on the AssistiveTouch icon on the right-hand side of the screen. From here, you can change the AssistiveTouch speed, and you can also enable drag-lock for dragging. The Dwell Control option is available in AssistiveTouch and Accessibility. You can adjust the speed of tracking by adjusting the slider.

Fortunately, the Guided Access feature also allows you to lock into one app and control which features are available in that app. This is helpful when handing the device over to a child, or if you want to restrict access to the touchscreen. You can also use Guided Access to control the device’s screen with swipes.
Battery saving mode

There are a couple of ways to save battery power on your iPhone XR. One of them is to change the Auto-Lock time. Normally, the screen turns off after a few seconds, but if you’re trying to conserve battery life, you may want to set it lower. Another way to save battery is by turning off the Raise to Wake feature. This will make Face ID a bit less convenient, but it will allow your iPhone to stay in battery-saving mode.

You can also change the Low Power mode on your iPhone XR manually. This will disable background activities, reduce the display brightness, and disable other battery-sapping features. To enable this feature, you can go to the Settings app and tap on Battery.

You can also disable automatic downloads and turn off email fetching. These features will help you save battery and improve the performance of your iPhone XR. Just keep in mind that your battery may go down faster if you turn these features off. But, if you want to keep using your iPhone, you’ll have to compromise on some other functions. For example, turning off auto-lock will make your phone slower and you’ll have to manually check for new messages.

You can also change the time for the screen to shut off. The default setting is two minutes, but you can change the time to fit your needs. Alternatively, you can turn off auto-lock completely. To change this setting, you can open the Settings app from the Home screen.
